Designer

Emilia Quattrina architettura
I received my master’s degree in architecture from the IUAV University of Venice, in October 2013 presenting a research on the theme of recycling disused urban spaces entitled: “The Waiting City. Explorations on the urban residue”. Always passionate about the theme of urban abandonment, since 2012 I have been collaborating with the AGILE association in Verona, an independent group that develops urban studies on the city.
Today I work between Verona and Lake Garda, following renovation and interior design projects, from preliminary to executive, up to construction management.
The experiences that I consider the most formative within my professional growth have been the years of work in carpentry, which gave me the opportunity to see the realization of custom-made furniture, designed and planned by me, and the exchange of knowledge with the craftsmen on site.

What were your objectives when you chose the materials to be used for your floor or wall coverings?

The design aims to achieve functional and organized spaces. Order and cleanliness in both floor plan and materials are the basic principles that guided the design of this house.
Green and light blue colors are combined with oak parquet flooring, creating warm home spaces that are never predictable. The use of bathroom wall tiles follow these principles; order, in the vertical grid installation, brightness in the choice of colors.

What made you choose the Tonalite products?

I chose the Kraklè collection because of the colour selection, the format and the kraklè treatment, which gives the material a vibrant light effect and greater luminosity.

What colours and combinations did you choose, and how did you use them?

I chose a white to give brightness to the bathrooms and a bottle green to add color and create a background to the bathtub/shower. The rigid grid installation gives verticality even in bathrooms with low height.
