  • Licia Torrieri, an interior designer, works in Vicenza, Brescia and Mantua. With passion and extreme sensitivity in the use of colours, she focuses on interior design in homes and commercial spaces.

What where your objectives when you chose the materials to be used for your floor or wall coverings?

The aim was to create a contrast with the modern minimalism of the kitchen, to suggest a memory of tradition. The herringbone laying interrupts the severity of the vertical and horizontal lines.
The glossy, wavy finish allows the light from the LED strips under the shelving to create delicate light and shade effects, emphasised by the ‘diamond’ colour we chose.
The end result resembles an oil painting with broad strokes, surrounded by a deep wooden frame.

What made you chose the Tonalite products?

I chose this product because the shape, colour and finish corresponded to the idea of the design.

What colours and combinations did you chose and how did you use them?

Medium-sized rectangular tiles with a glossy finish laid in a herringbone pattern.
