Tikto Creative Lab is an interior design and communication studio that deals with creating visual identities and interior design solutions by creating tailor-made environments to suit every need.

The founders, Francesco Antonio Di Lorenzo and Ottavio Ottaviano, both graduates in Industrial Design, work on projects through a constant search for innovation without forgetting the essential and minimalist aspect necessary to highlight the architectural and structural elements of the environments. In this type of research, however, there is also a constant look at the present and at the aesthetic value that must necessarily transpire in the choices, so as to reflect the creative emotion that allows physical spaces to be transformed into living spaces.

What where your objectives when you chose the materials to be used for your floor or wall coverings?

Essential but not banal: this is the must for a Scandinavian-style home.

And this is exactly the concept we wanted to transfer to the design and renovation of this 90 square metre flat, directing our research towards very precise choices in terms of furnishings, flooring, wall coverings and paint, in perfect synergy with our clients Marco & Antonella. The light tone of the walls is broken up by design elements and plants, in perfect greenery style.

The open space gives breadth and air to the flat, even though the spaces are small. The soft colours of the furnishings recall each other in a play of geometries designed to create a minimalist setting but respectful of the concept of Hygge typical of the Scandinavian style.

What made you chose the Tonalite products?

The Tonalite collections used in this project reflect all the characteristics necessary to integrate with the minimalist setting that we wanted to recreate, both in terms of geometric formats and the absolutely harmonious colour combinations, in line with the global style that we wanted as a final result.

What colours and combinations did you chose and how did you use them?

In the en-suite bathroom we chose matt white and medium matt grey from the Examatt series.
The hexagonal shape of the tile allowed us to create a graft between the two colours to achieve a nuanced effect and exploit the full potential of this collection.

For the guest bathroom we used the Silk collection, chalk-coloured in the 10×30 cm format, perfect to create a game of contrasts with the matt black tapware and accessories.

For the backsplash in the kitchen we chose the Diamante collection, glossy white in the 7.5×15 cm size. The monochromatic effect is enhanced by the reflections of light that the geometric reliefs and the laying create.
