What where your objectives when you chose the materials to be used for your floor or wall coverings?

In the project I developed it was essential to find the right balance between contemporary elements and elements linked to the past. The presence of cement tiles on the floor, the kitchen with separate working blocks with an aluminium structure and suspended on feet had to find a natural completion in a tile covering that recalled the past but with a contemporary language.

What made you chose the Tonalite products?

The 7.5 x 15 cm format was an essential part of my project and found its natural expression in the Tavella from the Silk series. Moreover, the glossy but not perfectly coplanar surface added the right amount of retro taste without being excessive. A solution that immediately turned out to be perfect for my project, without giving up anything in terms of the overall effect I wanted to achieve for the kitchen.

What colours and combinations did you chose and how did you use them?

I chose Pergamena colour because it is particularly suitable in the range of shades present, from the kitchen doors in milk-coloured milleraies to the metal enamelling of the chairs, with their decidedly warmer and more intense tone. The Pergamena colour represents the right tone to complete the project in a harmonious and balanced way.
