What were your goals in the choice of covering (or flooring) materials?

The choice of materials for this project stems from the desire to create a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere, with minimal yet not obvious elements. The idea was to choose a covering that would allow the light to better diffuse in the kitchen, also thanks to the window adjacent to the covered area. At first glance, the backsplash of this kitchen may seem a classic and simple white, but as you get closer to the wall, you can gradually notice all its distinctive features, starting from the matt texture and then moving on to the relief decorations, up to the hexagonal shape of the individual elements. In addition, of course, we are talking about a seemingly simple choice, but of extremely high quality.

Why did you choose Tonalite products?

The choice fell on Tonalite products, as the tiles of the Examatt series went perfectly with the style of my kitchen. The opacity of the tile I chose creates a continuity with the matt anthracite kitchen door, also purchased from the McTiles store in Monterotondo, where the sales representatives helped me find the perfect combination between kitchen and covering. Moreover, the particular size and shape of this tile made it possible to create a neutral but equally refined effect for the cooking area.

What colours and combinations did you choose, and how did you use them?

We chose matt white, laid both in the smooth hexagonal tile format (15×17) and in the relief tile format (15×17), with which we “played” creating a design along the entire length of the covered area, alternating smooth tiles with decorated ones. The covering was laid only on the wall of the cooking area, framing the focal point of this kitchen.
