What were your objectives when you chose the materials to be used for your floor or wall coverings?

The goal was to create a welcoming, inspiring environment that blends the warmth and vibrancy of a Mediterranean social hub with the relaxed elegance of a modern hotel interior.
Each area of the hotel’s ground floor was designed to have its own atmosphere while maintaining a cohesive visual language through texture, color, and craftsmanship. The materials were chosen to evoke lightness, freshness, and a sense of playfulness, while ensuring durability suitable for a high-traffic hospitality space.

What made you choose the Tonalite products?

Tonalite offered exactly what the project required: distinctive collections with a handcrafted, expressive quality. Their range allowed us to mix textures, finishes, and tones to achieve a layered, curated look that feels both timeless and contemporary. The tiles’ modularity, variety of formats, and color richness made it possible to define different zones through pattern and tone, while maintaining harmony across the entire floor plan.

What colours and combinations did you choose, and how did you use them?

Each Tonalite collection was carefully chosen to suit the mood of its space.

  • In the reception and bar, the Nuance collection in Nero and Latte was combined to form a unique patterned floor that sets a sophisticated yet playful tone inspired by the typography of the city.
  • The Elevenuance tiles in Rosa and Blu were applied to the restroom floors and walls, creating a bold and memorable statement and a welcoming photo spot.
  • The Senren collection in Terracotta introduced warmth and depth throughout the restaurant and bar, also serving as a backsplash and feature below the windows.
  • Finally, the Fluid collection in Fotinia and Rosa was chosen for the patio’s tiled bench, bringing together the palette with a gentle, artistic touch that connects the interior to the outdoor space.
