Fondo Vito

Francesco Cardano, an interior designer, was born in Italy in 1979. After experience in design and heading projects and with numerous partnerships at home and abroad, he founded a design studio focussed on innovative, contemporary style, with references to tradition and Mediterranean architecture. For over 15 years he has designed and created homes with the aim of offering environments and lifestyles that express essential design and purity of spaces, by using innovative and never banal materials, shapes, colours and memory. He believes in involving the client to create spaces that are the embodiment of functional, aesthetic and emotional needs, together with versatility, elegance, and a spirit of synthesis and dialogue between architecture and design.

The aim was to use materials that echoed Mediterranean tradition, because the building is located in the historic centre.

We decided it was a good idea to use a material with a hexagonal, geometric shape and a decoration that was both simple and elegant.

White and blue tiles were used for the stone sink, leaving the architecture of the whole room, with its limestone barrel vaults exposed.
