Designer
RizziRogers
An Italian-Brazilian-English studio based in Milan.
The studio works on projects spanning various scales and types, from commercial to residential to outdoor projects, including furniture design, lighting and jewellery, graphics and photography.
We firmly believe in the interdisciplinary approach of Architecture and Design where the research we dedicate to each project is a fundamental tool and where collaborations generate new and unexpected solutions. Space, light, materials, textures, patterns and details are our formal tools.
Our role is to respond to the brief, deciding how these interact with each other, the context and the users, to create functional and charismatic proposals. While we want our designs to have an important impact on the lives of the people who live them, they must adapt to and strongly reflect their personality.

What were your objectives when you chose the materials to be used for your floor or wall coverings?
In a historic building in Milan for a bathroom renovation, we wanted to include contemporary elements that would tie in well and enhance the existing finishes.
What made you choose the Tonalite products?
We found the ideal size and finish for the installation and effect we wanted.
What colours and combinations did you choose, and how did you use them?
An ivory white (tying in with antique) with vertical stacked laying ( more modern) that reaches halfway up the wall, as if to create a boiserie. The rest of the wall is glazed a deep green-gray to give warmth and elegance to the space, complemented by a custom-made bathroom cabinet and vintage lighting and mirror.
