Designer Cristina Zanni’s studio creates interiors for private homes and public spaces, as well as concepts and images for retailers and venues.
What where your objectives when you chose the materials to be used for your floor or wall coverings?
Creating a special place where people can rediscover the pleasure of breakfasting or lunching on pure, simple, traditional ingredients. A space that tells a story, starting in our countryside and ending up on the table of Panenostro every day. The whole space must have all the warmth and flavour of home. There is no separation between the people who eat the food and the people who make it in this place inspired by the concept of conviviality. People come to Panenostro to sample the simple ingredients that nature offers us in a perfectly home-like atmosphere.
What made you chose the Tonalite products?
Tonalite’s Arabesque was chosen as an element adding strong character to the design, used to distinguish the kitchen area, in which it is applied as a wall covering, and to cover the convivial table in the dining room. These two areas are the heart of the place, creating a mood which shows off the whiteness of the tile, just as in a traditional kitchen, combined with the classic traditional decoration of the original Arabesque format.
What colours and combinations did you chose and how did you use them?
The project uses Arabesque silk in a simple way, on its own, with brass frames, pastel colours such as sage green, and floral-patterned wallpaper.
