  • The Maja Group is a design studio that works in Italy and abroad. It provides comprehensive support for designing Food&Beverage stores: from a new concept to marketing strategies, building the space, initial start-up and management consultancy. The founder is architect Alessandro Maja from Milan, who grew up amidst Milan’s coffee houses and has many years’ experience in their design. He is a whirlwind of original, incredible ideas that are at the same time concrete and functional! His right-hand woman is Manuela Cavallo from Sicily, who is always aware of new developments in taste and convivial spaces.

What where your objectives when you chose the materials to be used for your floor or wall coverings?

We wanted to create a space that recalled tradition, but was young and brilliant. The shape itself met these characteristics to the full.

What made you chose the Tonalite products?

We saw the product at Cersaie and we liked it a lot. The quality of the tile is excellent and it has a unique design.

What colours and combinations did you chose and how did you use them?

We used 3 colours from Geomat Estella – white (bianco talco), grey (grigio cemento) and black (nero lavagna).
